Shane Acker's theatrical expansion of his animated short 9 is both the most exciting thing to happen in quite a while, and one of the bigger disappointments. I've been trying to keep an eye on 9 since I first heard the short film was being made into a feature length film. If you aren't in the loop, the story is that of a scientist in post-apocalyptic world who transfers life to a group of dolls.
