Brave Video Game Gets Gameplay Trailers

The video game tie-ins to animated films are often rather disappointing as far as I’m concerned, but there are new trailers for the Brave video game that make it look like there may be something worth hoping for.

Of course, the movie lends itself well to the adventure format, and gives us an easy road to shooting arrows while moving along on our quest. Still, I think gamers will be able to recognize elements that are revealed in the trailers that give a strong idea of what’s going on in the game, and how the gameplay will mesh with the adventure. It’s easy to get a good idea of how things work, and how the variety of abilities, and possibilities will play out.

The game hits in June, and you want to keep your eye out. A lot of these really are just money grabs, because you know the kids are going to want them, but this one looks like a solid title. Check the trailers (one DS specific) below, and let me know what you think.

A third person action-adventure, “Brave: The Video Game” expands the tale beyond the movie’s storyline. Gamers can play as Merida, an expert archer and heroine, and in the console versions, players can also play as other entertaining characters from the film. In addition, they will be able to go on quests through a magical world and solve puzzles to uncover secrets.
