Parks And Recreation Web Series Kicks Off – April And Andy’s Road Trip

If you’re a fan of Parks and Recreation, you know well that one of the things that really makes the show is the full force of the entire ensemble. It’s a show, oddball as it may be, that truly calls into question the notion of “supporting actors.”

Whether it’s Aziz Ansari rolling out ludicrous monologues, Aubrey Plaza’s perfectly dark and disinterested attitude, or Nick Offerman’s mere presence, everyone on the show stands out, and with a different group the show likely wouldn’t have made it past the first three episodes.

Well, if you can’t get enough, you can now check out the new webseries, April and Andy’s Road Trip. If you watched the show last night, you know that the happy couple were inspired to take a road trip, and now you can see highlights from their grand adventure.

You can see the in-universe site as well here http://www.nbc.com/parks-and-recreation/exclusives/road-trip/, which has even MORE content to share including:

  1.  Road Trip Scrap Book : Photos and hilarious captions from the trip
  2.  Interactive Road Map: Lets fans track April and Andy’s road trip
  3.  Photo Submission: Want to be part of the fun? Fans can take a picture of their local P&R dept. and stake their own place on the interactive map!

Volkswagen Partners with “Parks and Recreation” to Send April (Aubrey Plaza) and Andy (Chris Pratt) on a Cross-Country Road Trip

Volkswagen of America, Inc., has partnered with NBC‘s “Parks and Recreation” to bring fans the show’s first web series. On Thursday, November 3 the five-episode, online-only series will feature Andy (Chris Pratt) and April (Aubrey Plaza) embarking on a road trip across America.

Viewers tuning in to the November 3 episode of “Parks and Recreation” on NBC will see Andy sharing his bucket list with April, inspiring the couple to take a road trip out west. Volkswagen will help bridge the on-air story to the online story as the two “borrow” April’s dad’s Passat and begin their adventure.

The web series picks up where the show leaves off, following the happy couple on their 60-hour journey across America. Watch as they battle spiders, scope out real estate opportunities, and visit the famous “Four Corners” (or, what Andy thinks is the Four Corners).

In addition to the web series, NBC.com will debut “Road Trip” digital features, including an interactive map of April and Andy’s journey, and user-submitted photos of parks and recreation departments from across the country and an extended producer’s cut of that night’s episode with never before seen moments.
