Droplitz Delight App Review

Puzzle Apps tend to be pretty hit or miss for me, and even when considering the best ones, I usually lose interest pretty quickly. Droplitz Delight is a new effort as an App, coming over from XBOX Live Arcade, and it has just the right combination of features for a quick iPhone distraction.

The game is all about rotating little pieces of pathway in order to create a route for your little Droplitz balls to escape... or something. There are a variety of levels, and modes of play, but it all comes down to getting the paths together the best you can.

In a sense, there isn't much to the game, but like such classics as Tetris, that's sort of the real beauty of the thing. The first few levels may seem ridiculously easy, but once you get a few under your belt, and understand what you're doing, you'll find that the difficulty quickly gets to an interesting range.

If you're a fan of puzzle games, you know that the basic dynamics often go very wrong. You may find a variety of games that seem rather interesting in theory, but if they don't have some elusive, addictive quality, it won't take long before you aren't turning to them anymore. Whether they are simple, or bizarrely complicated, you've got to get hooked, and simple usually works better.

I'm not sure that Droplitz Delight is something that will keep you going in the seriously long-term, but it's a fun game that is a perfect option when you have a few minutes to kill.

Game Features:

- Guide the Droplitz to safety in this uniquely addictive puzzle game. Turn dials, create paths, and help the Droplitz from top to bottom

- Play in six colorful worlds and compete in more than 40 levels in three game modes: Target Quest, Classic Mode, Free Play. Set the Droplitz free in progressively harder levels with Target Quest. Jump in and challenge the original game play in Classic mode. Play to your heart's content in Free Play.

- Unlock illusive Uranium trophies and climb the high score tables

- Variety of difficulty levels suit beginner to expert players: Beginners can find solace with single dropper levels, a quick tutorial and even Hint buttons during gameplay, while experts can enjoy the challenge of Experienced and Insane difficulties.

- Highly recommended for fans of Lumines, Tetris and Peggle!
