Kick-Ass is already stirring up a lot of talk, most notably due to not just Roger Ebert's 1-star review, but the combined fact that the movie is currently 75% fresh at rottentomatoes.com, and has a rating of 84 at the BFCA. It's the combination, along with some odd complaints (like parents complaining about the rating in other countries... because of the cursing), and some big name positive reviews, that has really stirred up interest, or at least chatter.
Good or bad (and it's awesome - check my Kick-Ass review here), with great hype comes great responsibility, and in an effort to do some extra good in that vein, Kick-Ass has a charity auction available through eBay that you might want to check out.
Benefiting The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, you can bid on auctions for FIVE posters from KICK-ASS signed by Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Mark Millar, and John Romita Jr.
The winning bidders will receive studio certified posters signed by the cast and filmmakers along with a signed letter verifying their authenticity. In addition to the poster, each winning bidder will also receive a KICK-ASS Character t-shirt, Official KICK-ASS book, keychain, lenticular postcard, and stickers. Auctions end Friday, April 23, 2010. Interested fans and collectors should be aware there are only a limited amount of posters available.
