ScreenIt? Link Love, DVD Lesser-Knowns, And Other Junk – Doctor Who, Clash Of The Titans, Sherlock Holmes, And More

So, it's been a while, and SXSW left me drained. That means a backlog here, but a lot of this stuff isn't time sensitive, and I think it's cool. I'm thinking we'll just jump quick though.

Hopefully, a lot of you are watching Life on The Discovery Channel, and whether you are or not, TV.com has a cool interview with executive producer Mike Gunton. Check that out here. They're also taking a shot at sitcoms over at TV.com, pronouncing the loss of Til Death a kind of triumph, and naming a new "why is this still on" king. Check that here.

More generally, if you haven't been to TV.com in a while, you might want to check it out. Apart from just going to those particular pages, wander around a bit. They've been changing things up over the last few months, so if you aren't a regular, you may want to see what's new.

Of course, they also have this!

Yes, that's just how cool they are.

In news that won't take a break, a new Doctor Who is coming, and here are a couple new clips.

In news too weird to miss, Kal Penn is apparently quitting his gig at The White House (yes, "The") to work on another Harold & Kumar film. Well, or generally to return to acting. Seriously? It's White House beats House, but Harold & Kumar beats White House? Thanks to Film.com for alerting me to that one. Well, everyone alerted me to it frankly.

Film School Rejects have a cool article up on the mythology of The Clash of the Titans that you should check out here. Don't just sit through that thing, learn something. It's fun.

If you missed Stephen Colbert's Countdown Clock Rant, check it out below.

Last week's episode of The Marriage Ref was surprisingly good. Check out a clip of the opening minutes... which may have been some of the best the show offered.

Some good news for geeks, and fans of geeks I guess, as Kaley Cuoco of The Big Bang Theory will be available to drool over in a few new places. Check the story at Collider.com here.

Teri Hatcher has decided to become Gwyneth Paltrow (The A.V. Club's words). GetHatched.com will launch soon with Teri Hatcher, as far as I can figure, GOOPing at you. Somehow, I feel like I could take it from Teri. Right now the site redirects to a preview ad, but bookmark it now and you won't miss any of the fab advice.

With Sherlock Holmes recently released, one lucky fan got to go to fight school. Check the videos of that brave encounter below.

Speaking of normal people going for a wild ride, Reuters claims that FOX claims that a new show may be coming to you that involves people bringing home celebrities to meet their parents. The gag is that it's all fake, and (I guess) the celebrities are going to throw the parents for a loop. I don't know what that might mean in the end, but you can see Reuters brief on My Parents Are Going To Love You here.

CinemaBlend.com has a fun article on upcoming movie Kick-Ass. The film has been getting some interesting ratings overseas, of the PG-13 vs. R (or whatever) variety, and parents are apparently upset... at the cursing. Really?

In one more from TV.com, they have a cool article looking lovingly at FX shows that have taken things to new heights. Some favorites there.

That ought to keep you busy for a while.

Oddly, the DVD Lesser-Known front has been a little sparse.
