ScreenIt? Link Love, DVD Lesser-Knowns, And Other Junk – Greenberg, LOST, Review Squashing, The Marriage Ref, And More

It's been another strange week(ish), with the Olympics throwing normal schedules off, and trying to get ready for SXSW. The DVD market seems not to be flooded just at the moment, and big release at the theaters Cop Out didn't really get to many people excited. Still, there are some interesting bits I can relay.

Over at TV.com, they're jonesing for Glee, and since we've still got a while to wait for the return, they put together a list of the best TV musical numbers, complete with videos. It's a pretty cool rundown. Check it out here.

My old friends at CinemaBlend.com have a story you should check out about Variety. It seems a rather negative review for Iron Cross... well, used to be up at Variety, and suddenly isn't, and it turns out that the film had a rather hefty ad campaign going for the movie. Hmmm.... Check out the whole story here.

A new featurette for Greenberg is making the rounds, and I wanted to share it to. The new Noah Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale) film stars Ben Stiller, and that could be a perfect combination. Trailer and featurette below.

Roger Greenberg [Ben Stiller], single, fortyish and at a crossroads in his life, finds himself in Los Angeles, house-sitting for six weeks for his more successful/married-with-children brother. In search of a place to restart his life, Greenberg tries to reconnect with old friends including his former bandmate Ivan [Rhys Ifans]. But old friends aren't necessarily still best friends, and Greenberg soon finds himself spending more and more time with his brother's personal assistant Florence [Greta Gerwig], an aspiring singer and also something of a lost soul. Despite his best attempts not to be drawn in, Greenberg and Florence manage to forge a connection, and Greenberg realizes he may at last have found a reason to be happy.

In a particularly odd story, The Academy is apparently mulling over potential action in response to a producer of The Hurt Locker sending out emails to voters asking them for votes. There's already been an apology, and a lot of head-shaking, but the mere existence of the story could sway some voters. Get the full story at The Chicago Tribune here.

The Women's Media Center have put together a great video highlighting the women who have been nominated for Academy Awards, and it's a great presentation. Check it out below.

With LOST getting back into full swing, and things becoming crazier than ever, you might want to check in over at TV.com, and find out which of the types of LOST fan you are. Story here.

People seem to be getting the buzz bug over The Marriage Ref, and if nothing else, NBC is doing a good job of marketing it. There are a lot of clips showing off some moments that are sure to gain interest, and at the same time, I'm not sure I have a great feel for how the show will go. I mean, how do you not talk about the stripper pole?

Finally, in a move that I have to sort of respect, Matthew Goode gets on board the not-particularly-loving Leap Year bandwagon. ReelzChannel has the story here.

That should keep you busy.
