Celebrity Apprentice Contestant Videos

Celebrity Apprentice is its own sort of televised train wreck, and while the series generally unfolds in some way that leads to a lot of eye-rolling, you just have to love a decent amount of money going to charity. Even better, several charities each season get some exposure they sorely need. The big picture of the thing often runs a bit odd out of the gates, because it seems that about half of the contestants have no hope of winning. The eventual and repeated emphasis on their ability to call in donations from their own black book leaves some people without any real chance of getting anywhere.

It's nice to talk up the general abilities of the mish-mash of realish and pseudo celebrities, and compare the qualities behind their own achievements to the necessities of making it in the business world, but none of it really matters in the grand scheme of hawking snow cones in Central Park (or whatever), or having the most rich friends who will throw money at you.

Beyond the general goofballiness of the show, which has solid moments of fun, it turned things toward a different direction in its last season by playing up Joan Rivers general insanity, even giving her the win. Proving once again that acting like a complete loon never goes unrewarded on television.

The pool this season seems to demonstrate the show's solid embrace of hopefully generating some friction.

Not only will the final winner be crowned "The Celebrity Apprentice," but he or she will also have the honor of delivering a $250,000 bonus check to their designated charity.

All 14 celebrities this season will be competing in business-driven tasks around New York City, using their fame along with their business acumen to win challenges, while ultimately raising money and awareness for their respective causes.
