I think it is based on the film's own merits as a story, which is why I try to convey how the film deals with the fact that viewers are going to know the ending, and probably a good deal of the story.<br><br>On the other side of the coin, there is a pretty real sense in which the film has no merits as a story, at least in terms of basing a review on those merits. Why so much criticism about the nihilistic viewpoint of Earhart's doomed flight? Maybe this review would have been better if the film had been named "Wild Blue Yonder" and you were left to wonder if the "Amelia" character in the film could have been Earhart.
