It's a decidedly odd time off year, with the Olympics, American Idol, the Oscars, and so much more. It's a time where you find yourself almost spoiled for choice when it comes to putting together a few tidbits... and that's without Gary Coleman!
Let's take a look at some stuff!
While there may be more going on than you can handle, TV.com has a wrap-up of TV shows that really test your ability to handle them. Check out their 12 TV Shows that Hurt So Good…
In other news, though we may have missed Valentine's by a bit at this point, you can check out my picks for Romantic Movies over at SpringPad here.
In truly hilarious Olympic news, while NBC has been complaining about how much money they're going to lose by covering the Olympics, they have surprised no one with the idea since they've been pissing people off since coverage began. From not airing events until 100 years after the fact, to plain old bizarre coverage, to the fact that they won't let clips from their site be embedded, it seems like everyone has some complaint or other. The most frequent response I seem to hear is a general happiness at the fact that they're going to cost themselves big.
But, Sven Kramer might have said it best.
Sven Kramer has at NBC's donkey reporter - I caught this one from BuzzFeed here.
In cooler Olympic news, if you've been watching at all, you've probably caught some interesting How to Train Your Dragon Clips created just for the Olympics. If you haven't managed to catch them all, here are a couple of the cooler ones.
GeeksAreSexy.net turned me onto this prank. Try it yourself!
Here's fun news for you, and I know you'll want to tune in. Octomom will apparently be on The View. Full info at The Chicago Tribune here.
It looks like the wondering is pretty well over if you're a fan of the sleeper awesomeness that is Better Off Ted. Jay Harrington, who joined me for ScreenTime here, has his back-up plan lined up. It's an NBC effort called Nathan vs. Nurture. Story at THR here.
In similar news, Michelle Borth from struggling, yet cool show the forgotten, has apparently signed for a new show called The Matadors. Story at HitFix here.
Keeping up with LOST? Well... no, I don't know the words, check these out.
Previews are flying fast and furious as the networks try to establish themselves for post-Olympic viewing. Here are a couple getting a lot of play.

Gary Coleman flips his lid and walks out of an interview spewing curses on his way.
Speaking of Gary Coleman, the TV.com writers have put together an article on their Childhood TV Crushes here. See what some of your favorites are up to now.
That ought to keep you busy.
