Paramount Announces Release Of Saving Private Ryan Blu-Ray And Up In The Air

I got a release today with all the info on the release of Up in the Air, and it looks like fans are going to get some nice features to go with the Best Picture nominated film. I also got word recently on the release of Saving Private Ryan on Blu-Ray as part of Paramount's Sapphire Series, and obviously this one is loaded with great bonuses.

I think we all would have been very surprised if there hadn't been a commentary by Reitman, but it's nice to have it writing. Take a look at the Saving Private Ryan list below, and I think you'll agree that this one is going to be very hard to pass up.

Up in the Air - March 9th, 2010

The UP IN THE AIR DVD and Blu-ray presentations include commentary by writer/director Jason Reitman, director of photography Eric Steelberg and first assistant director Jason Blumenfeld, deleted scenes with optional commentary and the featurette “Shadowplay: Before The Story”. The Blu-ray also includes additional deleted scenes, storyboards, an American Airlines prank and the “Help Yourself” music video by Sad Brad.

The UP IN THE AIR DVD is presented in widescreen enhanced for 16:9 TVs with Dolby Digital English 5.1 Surround, French 5.1 Surround and Spanish 5.1 Surround and English, French and Spanish subtitles.  The Blu-ray disc is presented in 1080p high definition with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, French 5.1 Dolby Digital, Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital and Brazilian Portuguese 5.1 Dolby Digital and English, English SDH, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese subtitles.  The DVD includes the following special features:

Saving Private Ryan - May 4th, 2010

Director Steven Spielberg’s critically-lauded WWII epic SAVING PRIVATE RYAN will make its long-awaited high definition debut when it arrives on two-disc Blu-ray May 4, 2010 as the latest addition to Paramount Home Entertainment’s exclusive “Sapphire Series.”  One of the top 10 most anticipated releases on Blu-ray according to Amazon.com, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, a DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures co-production, won five Academy Awards®, including Best Director (Steven Spielberg), and two Golden Globes®, including Best Director and Best Motion Picture—Drama, and was named by the AFI as one of its 100 Greatest American Movies.  Boasting a stellar cast headed by Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, Edward Burns, Tom Sizemore, Ted Danson, Giovanni Ribisi, Vin Diesel, Paul Giamatti and Barry Pepper, the film is widely considered one of the greatest war films ever made and was hailed by critics and audiences alike throughout the world.
