i can somehow relate to this movie.i saw myself in the character of carey, young, intelligent, smart girl who fell in love with a man who's old enough to be my father.i still think of him, and i think that i still have have some feelings left for him.if he'd ask me to marry him, i will, but he never would, i know, because he's married.

I agree that An Education is a great film - touching, clever and hilarious. No question. But what about the closing sequence and voiceover? I didn't like those closing 90 seconds or so. The film makers had some trouble with the ending I heard this week - from them that is. I write a bit about it here http://wp.me/pDjed-6h

I do love meaningful characters. And, given the fifteen year age difference (my husband is younger), I might find that it plays on several different levels to me. Except, we're both students.

I'll keep my eyes open for this.
