That a film, and a pair of actors, can take a story so removed from the universal perspective, and nevertheless make engaging, accessible, and believable statements about life in general is nothing short of spectacular. That it can do so while making a story that is at least somewhat languid by definition into something entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable is stunning.

It’s about the time of year that we’re almost getting too late for “Best Shows You Aren’t Watching,” but if you still aren’t tuning your set to ABCabc reviews’s Modern Family, I think you’re really missing out. I’ve got some sneaks from the next episode, “Fizbo,” for you, and I’m going to include a HuluHulu player so you can catch up if you need to, and check out a few other interesting behind-the-scenes clips.

Often hilarious, and consistently funny, Modern Family has kept it’s game up through several episodes now, and has proved itself to be easily on top of the new comedy pile. A solid cast, and great writing have come together week after week to not only provide the laughs, but actually use the situational setup to provide a fun look at the characters.

In our next episode we combine a clown, a bouncy house, and high-powered weaponry… what could go wrong?
