ScreenIt? – Weekly Link Love, DVD Lesser-Knowns And Other Junk – V, Heroes, Roland Emmerich, And More

You may have noticed that it's been quite a while since this "weekly" has been updated. There's just been too much to do. There's a lot of cool stuff though, so I'm just going to start throwing stuff at you.

In case you missed the Gemini Awards, I was very pleased to see that Being Erica star Erin Karpluk picked up the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role. It's definitely much deserved, and if you aren't watching the show, you want to check it out. See my interview with Erin here.

TV.com has a special behind-the-scenes look at the Thanksgiving episode of Heroes. Check it out below.

TV.com also has an interesting interview with Fringe's Joshua Jackson here.

You've probably already heard about the "fatal Wipeout," because it seems everyone is talking about it, but the story just blows me away. During production of the show, a contestant complained of knee pain and shortness of breath. Rushed to the hospital, he apparently died shortly after, and the unexpected moral of the story is - just don't do anything right after your honeymoon. Movieline has details here.

Cinemablend.com has a cool interview with Roland Emmerich which you can watch below.

In other oft-mentioned news, Tommy Wirkola is working a project titled Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, which is apparently being sold as having a Shaun of the Dead vibe. THR on that story here.

In case you missed Late Night's iPhone App sneak peeks, check out some of the new Apps available soon - and some odd production problems - below.

Again from TV.com, they have another Q&A interview up, this one with Morena Baccarin, who plays Anna on V.

Speaking of V, here's a sneak of the upcoming episode.

And here are your DVDs of the week.
