Now available on DVD, Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse has managed to become a favorite since it first hit the scene almost ten years ago. I’m actually a tough sell when it comes to animated holiday efforts (my plate is full), but this one is a great combination of stories, and it’s put together in a way that’s great fun for the kids. Mine, for example, are huge fans of all the moments that come between the main courses.
Tis the season at the House of Mouse, and a huge crew of Disney characters find themselves snowed in. To take everyone’s mind off their predicament, Mickey and Minnie play some “home movies.” The featured treats are: Donald on Ice, Pluto and the Christmas Tree, The Nutcracker, and Mickey’s Christmas Carol. All of them solid efforts, but the last two are the real stars.
The whole thing carries on with the snowed in theory, and during our breaks we get a lot of fun moments with countless characters. Snow WhiteSnow White reviews

, and many more all get the chance to interact like never before, including (rather brilliantly) some of your nasty favorites.
As I said, I’m hard to please when it comes to animated holiday fare, and I’m no great fan of every new animated film throwing out some holiday nonsense or other, but this one is put together well. The stage performances add to the festivities, and the kids will watch this again and again.
