From Paris with Love Review

Surprisingly watchable. It won't move anyone to call it the next best thing, but I don't think anyone will want their money back either. Travolta is fun, and the story carries you right along.

The Young Victoria

That a film, and a pair of actors, can take a story so removed from the universal perspective, and nevertheless make engaging, accessible, and believable statements about life in general is nothing short of spectacular. That it can do so while making a story that is at least somewhat languid by definition into something entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable is stunning.

It's Complicated

Put forward as a comedy (even astoundingly managing nominations in the genre), It's Complicated is the sort of movie that would generally find short synopses which can hardly avoid the phrase - and hilarity ensues, except it doesn’t really.

What I suspect will come flooding forward among what negative reviews Avatar receives is a kind of misplaced response, but one that is understandable. The truth is, the problem is not that Avatar is simply Dances with Aliens, it is that it is that same story told so poorly.
