Continuing on with their major push toward the iPhone, EA is bringing Command & Conquer Red Alert to the iPhone and iPod Touch at the end of October. Having already put together some incredible iPhone games in the sports realm recently (Tiger Woods, Madden 10, FIFA 10), and with a strong list of other impressive entries (notably The Sims 3), EA isn't letting up on the iPhone any time soon.
It's speculation at this point, but the game looks quite nice, and given the mechanics EA has built into recent titles, I have high hopes for this one. I wonder about the touch controls, because I've played a few games recently which have had somewhat tricky tap, or tap-and-drag controls, but I expect EA won't have that problem. Considering the way Madden 10 is played, and the control abilities there, they seem to have a firm grip on working these things out.
Keep your eye out for the release.
