Another week rolls along, and the thing no one will stop telling me is that Ellen is going to be a judge on American Idol. This news comes with about equal love and hate. Let me know what you think on the poll to the right. I mostly think that if you're replacing the person who never knew what she was talking about and mostly discussed people's clothes... what difference does it make who replaces her?

Important Things with Demetri Martin: Season 1
Comedian and "The Daily Show" correspondent Demetri Martin headlines this sketch show in which each episode tackles a single "important thing" through jokes, sketches, songs and Martin's on-screen ambidextrous cartooning. The topics range from power and brains to safety dummies and chairs, each providing fodder for Martin's unique observational humor. H. Jon Benjamin of "Home Movies" and Martin's "The Daily Show" cohort John Oliver also appear.
David Mamet writes and directs this provocative thriller, which takes viewers inside the world of Det. Bobby Gold (Joe Mantegna) as he conducts a murder investigation that leads to an examination of his own ethnicity. Pulled from a drug case to find the killer of an elderly Jewish woman, Gold scoffs at the family's claim that the murder was a hate crime -- until he uncovers evidence of a conspiracy. William H. Macy co-stars.
Jacques Demy directs this tale of George (Gary Lockwood), a 26-year-old whose dread of the draft leaves him disillusioned about life in general. To his girlfriend's (Alexandra Hay) dismay, he quits his job, and his car's about to be repossessed. When he begins a passionate affair with Lola, a French model (Anouk Aimee), it sets off a series of events that snap him back into reality. Tom Fielding and Severn Darden co-star.
Goosebumps: Attack of the Jack-O-Lanterns
In this trio of episodes from the popular Canadian series for kids, Drew (Erica Luttrell) and Walker (Adam Desalaiz) are determined to be the spookers rather than the spooked this Halloween … but end up scaring themselves along with everyone else. In other action, Freddy (Zack Lipovsky) and Cara (Meredith Henderson) discover vampire bats living under their house, and a magic mirror makes Max (Jonathan Schwartz) and Noah (Kevin Zegers) invisible.
That's it. Hope that keeps you busy.
