Community – Joel McHale And Chevy Chase On NBC – Watch It Now

The Soup's Joel McHale is starring in a new ensemble comedy this fall alongside Chevy Chase.  Community finds Jeff Winger (McHale) as a lawyer (sort of) who is forced to go to a community college.  While trying to hit on one of his classmates, he finds he has accidentally created a Spanish study group.  All walks of life collide in something like a more worldly Breakfast Club (which is heavily referenced in the pilot), and somehow it is up to slick, disinterested Jeff to turn the rabble into... a community.

The show premieres on NBC September 17th at 9:30 est, but for the next 85 hours (give or take) you can watch the pilot by becoming a fan of Community on Facebook here.  The show brings together creative talent from Arrested Development and Scrubs, and it really shows.

It's quick and clever, and it relies on all of its elements coming together in a way that is dangerous, but has a big payoff when it works.  It also serves McHale up well with a sense of humor The Soup fans will appreciate... not as zany perhaps, but snarky.  I'm not blown away by the pilot, but it's a fun show that, like Scrubs, may need to get moving a little before it can really pull you in.

You can check out a nice featurette that runs about four minutes below, or the entire episode with the link above if you're quick.

Thanks to Slashfilm.com who were first to let me in on this preview airing.
