With G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra releasing in theaters in just a few days, the video game is hitting shelves tomorrow August 4th. I'll have a full review shortly, but my initial reaction is that it not only looks quite good, it looks to have some interesting aspects to the gameplay. The game's story begins after the end of the film's plot (an option I greatly prefer to those that choose to follow along with their film's story), and the title features 12 characters, each with unique weapons and abilities.
The game also boasts an intriguing single-screen co-op mode which lets you battle as a team to defeat the evil forces of COBRA. The game will be out tomorrow for PS3, XBOX, Wii, and Nintendo DS. I just wanted to throw up a few images, and trailer to give some initial exposure.
While these first looks can sometimes be misleading, I think some of the glimpses to be found in the trailer suggest a pretty interesting game. Take a look, and stay tuned.
