This film thinks that because it's a children's movie it has a license to be lazy. When will filmmakers realized that kids' movies don't have to be plotless, incomprehensible dreck.

The first one was decent,I didnt think it needed a sequal,but anything with that Indian girl (I cant spell that name if my life depended on it) in it,cant be a bad flick!!!

I didn't like how there was really no closure at the smithsonian, the entire place is trashed, the exhibits are everywhere, and he just leaves with the tablet, nothing is resolved except for the exhibits he likes are safe back in new york. Also when Earhart flies away at the end, wouldn't she change back after she got a certain distance from the tablet, and then crash her plane possibly killing people. Weak plot, weaker ending. Very disappointing after how good the first film was.

I'm not a Ben Stiller fan and I found the first one, okay, but my husband and daughter loved it. So, when the new one came out, they went to see it, but the lack of story apparently affected them more than it affected you. Whereas my daughter just felt it was disappointing, my husband was disgusted.

Perhaps it would be best for those that wanted something light but weren't particularly familiar with the first. The comparison, I suspect, made a real impact with my family.
