Welcome to ScreenTime!
It's the final installment from the cast of Valley Peaks.
This time around, we've got Philip Jessen, who plays Jake. Jake is the resident handyman of Valley Peaks, and this line from his bio sums up Valley Peaks to perfection. - But who Jake is and why he is so handy is an enigma that no one cares to notice.
Thanks again to everyone from Valley Peaks.

Here we go.
1. The show is definitely taking aim at a certain genre of television... are there any shows you watch regularly that might be surprising given the no holds barred approach of ValleyPeaks?
The show is basically 90210 meets Lost if it were on Telemundo but in English. But that "no holds barred" approach was definitely influenced by "Deal or No Deal" and "The Golden Girls"...at least for me.
2. Have to throw this out to everyone who does webshows... What webshows do you watch that you don't think are getting enough attention? Can you sell them briefly?
Oddly enough, I don't watch a whole lot of shows on the web, TV, or otherwise. I don't hit the theatres much either. Lot of workin' these days.
3. If you had the opportunity to make a similar show that took aim at another genre, what might we expect?
Well why don't I just give you my idea notebooks, my social security number, bank info, and title to my car...Ahh...just kidding. I don't have any ideas.
4. Are there any films that you would say inspired your sense of humor? Can you elaborate a bit on how they might have influenced you?
It's hard to say...I grew up watching Bill Murray, Monty Python, Kids In the Hall, Naked Gun series, and (as a teen and on) Owen Wilson/Wes Anderson movies (to name a few). Overall, I'd say I have a dry British humor, but shock me or do something creative with poo and you got yourself a fan.
5. What's the best thing on television right now?
I literally have zero channels...I don't even have an antenna. But I've been keeping up with Heroes and Family Guy on Hulu. Sunny in Philadelphia is pretty spot and I know I'm cheating myself by not seeing more than two episodes of Arrested Development. Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Michael Cera...come on! I feel it deserves a full week of me watching back to back episodes.
6. The show has a certain element of bad acting as good acting, because it's supposed to be bad acting... does that theory came from anywhere specific? Any shows or movies that inspired that particularly approach?
Wow...that's a hell of a way to find out the show is infested with bad acting...It's cool, let's just move on
7. If you could get anyone to guest star on the show (particularly an actor of some repute as that would make for a convenient answer),who would it be and why?
I think it would be awesome to get a super stud like Brad Pitt or Justin Timberlake but for some reason all of the other characters were repulsed by them. As though in Valley Peaks, us average guys are the only dream boats (can I say dream boat?).
8. What are the last five things you did that involved a screen... starting from right... now... and not counting this.
Checked my myspace, facebook, email, my imdb status, and googled myself.
9. What's the best movie you've seen recently...in theater or not doesn't matter. Can you sing its praises a bit?
The last movie that I thoroughly enjoyed was Pineapple Express. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't just a pot movie. It was an elegant blend of humor, drama, romance, friendship, and action/violence. Kudos!
10. If I were going to give you the money to turn ValleyPeaks into a movie, who would you demand I get on board the project, and why? Directors, actors, whatever.
Well the main cast stays, of course...Oliver Stone might have an interesting take on Valley Peaks as director and Tony Little would keep everyone on track as AD...everyone else can just be a bunch of my high school buddies that don't know what they're doing but stroke my ego.
That's it.
Now - here's your shirt. It's XL. You can get all the info on the shirt here. Just leave a comment.
Winner will be chosen randomly on April 1st.
