I'm actually doing a speech about the ethics – unethical – part of this show/contests. It makes me feel so wrong watching the amount of footage that I have seen when developing this speech. Though there are good points to be made in the show (builds confidence, communications skills, yada yada) it just seems like Mom is having way more fun than daughter.

Watched this show last week. One judge's comments were unbelievable about a 9 year old girl, basically saying '...she looked horrible yesterday, no makeup no hairspray, now she looks lots better (with makeup and hairspray and flipper teeth).'

Have you also noticed how typically the mothers are rather large?

These mothers are still playing dressup with their dollies, not even realizing these are children who in tehir costumes and makeup look like cadavers.

Makes me want to vomit.

I saw this episode.The girl in the picture looks nothing like this.I's all fake.I rather liked the girl in her natural state, not in all that make-up.She didn't look like she was full of herself. These moms should stop living thru their daughters.It's not right.They look like little night walkers rather than little girls.

I know exactly how you feel. It's just scary.

As the show goes on, what I'm finding really odd is that these things are so "small time creepy" I feel like someone is practically having them in their garage.
