Just this once... I'm going to dedicate a post to a trailer, and only because The Hollywood Reporter told me to. Well, not exactly in so many words.
And so today is the day that a new clip gets released? Makes you wonder what certain people are playing at really.
I'm really interested to get around to any and all reactions to this move, and that even despite my recent rant about all the Watchmen discussion.
Why pull something like this out right now? Who on which side is thinking what re: releasing this?
Are we playing along like things are business as usual, and this just happens to be when we were planning on dishing out another bit of promotional material? Are we trying to say something by slipping out something else for fans to gnaw on just as the frenzy is really heating up?
Or, is this a more or less random event with no meaning whatsoever that fanboys near and far are going to overanalyze ad nauseam at me and everyone else who will hardly be given a chance to duck?
Either way, there the little tidbit is for the tiding over pleasure of far too many seriously eager fans.
Next rumor to fly around - Fox and Warner have been in cahoots for quite a while, and made the whole thing up just to stir up this giant frenzy. Reciprocity will follow at the end of the year when a lawsuit is filed which threatens to delay release of certain holiday titles until after the holidays!!!
