It’s getting difficult to avoid the news that Dominic Monaghan is going to appear on Chuck. Be sure to tell your friends. But, stop calling him Lost‘s Dominic Monaghan.
Lost is not the greatest thing to hit the airwaves since sliced bread, and as time goes on it’s becoming more and more clear that thing is really giving you a bit of a wind up.
He’s The Lord of the Ring‘s Dominic Monaghan if he’s anything, and he might just be plain old Dominic Monaghan.
One of the best things about Lost, Monaghan can actually act, and he brought a bit of charm that the show sorely lacked otherwise.
I know you think Lost is a show with a plan, and the fact that a set number of seasons has been spelled out enforces this idea. Take a look at the show and face the facts. It’s a show that began with an idea that spanned about six episodes. When it became hugely popular, ideas had to be thrown together, and as time has gone on it has become painfully obvious that the thing is being written on the fly. You only have to look at the eventual meaningless of many apparently key features of the show (like the numbers) in order to realize that the thing simply moves on when it runs out of ideas for connecting aspects it once heavily focused on.
Entering numbers is getting boring… whatever, let’s chuck that.
Still, the fans don’t seem to mind the much too long break that would kill most shows.
Season 5 is coming, and here’s the trailer —
But, seriously, Lost is not part of Dominic Monaghan’s name.
