In what seems to be a truly bizarre move, IMDb.com is now offering TV shows, movies, trailers, and independent shorts. It might not sound that odd to think that the largest movie and television information resource on the web is branching out into the popular world of online viewing, but IMDb is an Amazon owned company. Amazon, which just revamped its Unbox so as to go by the new, nifty moniker Video On Demand.
Now, it’s not weird because there are already big competitors in the market. It’s not even weird because Amazon seems so interested in being the place to go for such things. It’s weird because of the unbelievably horrible selection of available titles.
